Boulder Neighborhoods

Chataqua is one of Boulder's oldest neighborhoods. Enjoy hundreds of acres of beautiful Boulder open space and numerous hiking trails as you walk to Chataqua Park nestled just below the Flatiron Mountains. Mapleton Hills extends from the foothill mountains on the west to the Pearl Street Mall on the east. This is a relaxing and quiet neighborhood that is within walking distance to the best restaurants and nightlife in Boulder and in close proximity to the hiking trails of Mount Sanitas.

Downtown is often just called Pearl Street. Pearl Street is a mixed-use area located next to Boulder Creek that features homes, offices and a pedestrian only outdoor mall. The Pearl Street Mall houses boutiques, restaurants, bookstores and always features street entertainment. The homes located in the downtown area boast relaxing front porches and mature trees.

Table Mesa is located on the south end of Boulder surrounded by mountains and open space. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with tree-lined streets, large private backyards and plenty of space between single-family homes. Wonderland Hills is a peaceful, calm and private 21-acre wildlife haven located on the northwest end of Boulder. Gunbarrel is an unicorporated subdivision of Boulder located six miles outside of the city. This neighborhood features three reservoirs, a golf course and a 23-acre park. Several subdivisions provide housings options for every budget and the neighborhood provides an excellent choice for those who wish to be outside the hustle and bustle of the city.

Whittier is a quiet, cozy, family neighborhood located next to downtown Boulder, walking distance to the Pearl Street Mall. The mostly car-less streets lined by large, well-taken care of homes.

The Hill is the nickname for the University Hill located across from Broadway from the University of Colorado campus. The neighborhood is a diverse pedestrian-family mix of housing, people, shopping and dining with a lot of activity going on at all times.

Palo Park is located on the northeast end of Boulder and is a small, strictly residential neighborhood. This is an affordable starting point for homeownership in Boulder. Single-family homes blend with multi-family housing while a tree-lined creek winds through.
